Wedding DJ Whirlowbrook Hall - U.K. Female Wedding DJ - ULTIMATE ROCK WEDDING PLAYLIST
Updated: Feb 23
Back in 2020 when I set my business up, I was promoting and promoting as much as possible but to no avail. I was a new company being set up in covid with no pictures of anything because I was essentially being held captive by the government with everyone else. I was telling everyone I was a rock DJ, and no before you ask, the Robbie song isn't about me, but nobody was booking us. I didn't give up, I knew eventually people would realise I'm not a scammer and I am actually in fact a rock DJ setting up my business. The first few months were so hard, it was really tough on my mental health but I knew I had a niche with the rock discos so I kept promoting and promoting... it's all I could do.
Then one random night I had a message off of a lady called Kim, asking about my disco! After a long conversation Kim became my very first booking. I cried a lot, it was such a special moment. Not only was she my first booking but she had asked for a rock DJ! My niche was coming in handy and I was finally off the start line! Fast forward to September 2022 and I have had 2 sold out years with the next year fully booked too!
I was finally able to meet Kim & Tom on their special day and provide music for their evening reception at the beautiful Whirlowbrook Hall in Sheffield. Everyone loves me in Sheffield, and I think it's because I play rock music that most other DJs wouldn't do, luckily I love Sheffield too. I'm there nearly every single week.
When I arrived at the venue there was a casino, photobooth and gaming arcades... this was my kind of wedding! Upon setting up I met the amazing photographer & videographers and went through our schedules to make sure we are all happily in time. I find it absolutely essential to get on and communicate with the other suppliers there, because your day needs to run perfectly!
Before the first dance (Slide Away by Oasis but a cover version) Kim firstly had her 2 step children on the dancefloor for a little dance (My Kids) and then had her son on the floor (Always Be Your Mom) and had absolutely everyone crying their eyes out... before the first dance!!
The playlist was absolutely amazing and my favourite one to date by far, I loved having the freedom to test songs out and play some absolute bangers that I love. No cheese, just completely and utterly a banging set list.

I'm sure this will become a go to playlist for sure.
