Back in October I had the pleasure of offering a huge package to Mr & Mrs Kitch, who had booked myself for photography from the ceremony until their first dance, I then jumped behind the decks to play many of their favourite songs to their guests until midnight. The ultimate package!
I'm so excited to show you all how my first wedding (photography) went, but for now let’s focus on the music!
Throughout several video calls with Shelby and Dale, I knew these were my kind of people and I was going to love the music. The couple insisted on having their music played, which is something that I really encourage, where possible. It is SO important to get the DJ to play YOUR music. They gave me a huge list of songs to play and I chose which to include, as there were so many. With such a variety, we definitely had something for everyone and covered all of the couples chosen songs, plus requests on the night. Everyone loved how we switched from one extreme to another!
If you don't enjoy the music, on your own wedding day, what is the point? Honestly?
Following an amazing ceremony and the guests being transported to the evening reception in a double-decker bus, I popped some background music on early for the couple to keep their guests entertained.
The reception took place at Melodie Park in York, it was a lovely hall with quite a large space.
