Saturday 21st May 2022 we travelled up to Deers Leap in Alford for an all day wedding disco, we were lucky enough to have weather that allowed all of the guests to enjoy a long day in the sun... Perfect!
Mr & Mrs Magner had booked us what feels like years ago, it has always been a wedding I had been looking forward to from the music ideas that Mrs Magner had spoken to me about early on.
The venue is a lovely little camping site, with a huge marquee that usually holds their functions, however, Mr & Mrs Magner decided to hire a 2 hat tipi. The tipi was a beautiful addition to the site, I love tipi weddings! Half of the tipi was set up for guests to have somewhere to sit and the other half was my section where I could set my equipment up behind the hired dance floor.
You can see from the picture below how amazing it looked in the middle of the field. In the fields surrounding the entrance to the tipi there were loads of garden games for guests to enjoy, fire pits where most guests sat around all night long and a catering area to the side which served pizzas and later on a hog roast.
Our set up space allowed us to bring extra podiums, which we don't usually use alongside our rustic light podiums, we also figured being in the middle of a field means the ground wouldn't be flat enough for our normal speaker stand that go alongside the rustic podiums. For this reason we came with our white podiums which have a huge base, meaning regardless of the uneven ground our speakers would be safe. We placed flowers around the podiums just to add to the field theme a little.
Due to the fact a tipi was placed in the middle fo the field and the couple weren't using the venues marquee, the bar was a short walk through the field and marquee. It housed a couple tables and a sofa, perfect for a long night.
I know this may seem really weird, but these are the nicest toilets I have ever seen so I just had to take a picture and show you!
I dropped Example a message, he is brilliant with fans and, in my opinion, such an underrated musician. I was quite happy when I saw some of his songs on the Magner Wedding Playlist.
I almost forgot to show you all this hilarious little sign on the toilet door!!!!!
The catering was absolutely delicious, when I was given this plate my jaw dropped and how nice it looked! Unfortunately I wasn't feeling 100%, so I struggled to eat it all but my lord the part I did eat, it was absolutely delicious!!!!!!

The playlist was highly mixed, with plenty of requests and loads of songs from a playlist I was sent. Please note these songs aren't all in order and the last 2 hours were so wild, I didn't have the opportunity to write them all down because, as shown above, things went west and we had all the cheesiest songs on ever!

This wedding really gave me a sense of so much happiness, I remember at the end of the night another DJ coming over to me and letting me know how well I did and it really did make me smile!
The best couple with the BEST music taste, one of my favourite playlists ever!!
