I'm really happy to let you all know that I have finally, after months and months of researching, added a full karaoke set up to my disco business. The karaoke will be available to be added onto disco bookings from 2023 at the added extra price of £75, which will include all the equipment, of which I will go into further details about in this blog. Just to clarify, it will cover the whole evening of your gig so karaoke is available whenever anyone wants, it isn't £75 per hour it is for the whole evening.
The more gigs I am doing, the more people keep asking for karaoke, it is something I have always looked in to but never felt it was the right time for the business. I now believe it will be a very popular added extra and I have invested a lot of time and money into making it a great experience for all.
Songs that I have ready are the most popular songs from research ranging from the 1970's till the chart songs being released today. I will also have the capability to get specific requests should I not have them already. I have already built up a wide range of tracks and will continue to build them up.
The upgraded karaoke set up will include 2 microphones on stands, a large TV screen for the lyrics and karaoke request slips. As per the current climate, all microphones and stands will be wiped down between users for the foreseeable. There will also be an iPad that houses a list of all our songs that you can choose from, which will be next to the request forms.
By adding the karaoke I feel like this is a great step forward for the business. There doesn't seem to be many Wedding DJs that offer this experience anymore so I have taken the plunge and gone for the gap I believe I can see in the market.
With regular local karaoke nights in the pipeline, I advise people to book in for the karaoke as soon as possible, to avoid disappointment.
